What Claude is

Claude is a helper you talk to by typing, like a text conversation. It read a mountain of writing — manuals, letters, contracts, how-to guides — and got very good at one thing: guessing what words should come next.

That's not an insult. That guessing is good enough to draft your customer replies, untangle a permit letter, or plan a week of work.
